Consultancy:

I provide consultancy for individuals and families, organisations and schools, ensuring that systems of support are values-led, evidence-based and achieve meaningful outcomes.

For individuals and families:

  • Holistic assessment of a person's quality of life, including strengths, preferences, goals and support needs, carried out with the person and those important to them
  • Comprehensive functional behavioural assessment in order to gain an evidence-based understanding of why behaviour occurs, particularly when it presents significant risk to the person’s health, safety and wellbeing
  • Person-centred function-based intervention focused on increasing skills, choice and independence
  • Review of current support, including assessment, intervention, and risk assessment, with recommendations to improve quality of life and reduce risk

For organisations and schools:

  • Independent audit of the quality of PBS practice
  • PBS service development, including development of practice standards, organisational frameworks, policies, and systems
  • Organisation-wide initiatives, for example, Active Support, Periodic Service Review, School-Wide PBS
  • Reducing restrictive practices and improving quality of life through data-informed systems
  • Recruitment support for PBS and Behaviour Analyst roles, including job role design and interview panel participation
  • Interim consultancy to provide specialist support during periods of change, service development or complex referrals

Supervision:

I provide supervision and mentoring to people supporting others in a variety of roles. I offer both 1:1 sessions and group supervision for teams.

  • Clinical supervision for Behaviour Analysts including newly qualified BAs, BAs seeking to develop further competence in PBS and experienced BAs who are new Supervisors
  • Supervision for PBS practitioners, behaviour specialists and practice leads seeking to develop their knowledge of the behavioural science which underpins PBS
  • Supervision for people working in a variety of clinical and operational roles who are working towards PBS qualifications, for example BTEC
  • Supervision for people working towards certification with the UK-Society for Behaviour Analysis
  • Mentoring for health and social care professionals in PBS

Training:

I provide face-to-face and virtual training based on key competencies as outlined in the PBS Competence Framework (PBS Academy, 2015). I seek to understand the needs of stakeholders in order to provide flexible and creative training solutions.
